Los Altos Spine and Sports is NOT a legally established partnership or corporation. This internet domain name is being used so as to have a central site where patients can go for medical information, common questions regarding our office, and HIPAA compliant email correspondence between doctors and their established patients.
This type of association of specialists (each having their own independent medical practice but sharing medical office space) is frequently done for multiple beneficial reasons, including continued medical educational growth as well as cross coverage of patient in emergency situations when a patient’s treating physician is not available.
In addition, sharing in the continued rising cost of maintaining an independent medical practice is greatly enhanced when several physicians split the continued elevating overhead of running a well-staffed and efficient medical practice.

Accepted Insurances:
Each physician is a contracted/in-network provider for Medicare and most all major PPO insurances including Blue Cross of CA, United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna and HealthNet.
None of the physicians are contracted with any HMO insurances.
In addition, each of the physicians is not contracted with any of the Covered California Programs run through Blue Cross, Blue Shield, HealthNet, Cigna or Aetna (this also includes any Pathway or Pathway X programs.) Such patients are still seen at our office, but will use their out of network benefits which require payment in full, at time of service. As a courtesy to these patients, a claim can be submitted to your insurance company upon your request.
We are no longer contracted with Blue Shield and Health Net. We DO however take patients as out-of-network benefits.
